The problem was that she was desparately trying to get to her baby who had managed to get itself inside the chicken fencing that was around my roses in front of the house. As soon as I pulled up the chicken fencing she went right over to the baby and fed it the cherry. Then the two of them hopped off across the front lawn. I didn’t get any photos of that as I was busy trying not to cut my hands on the chicken fencing.
