This building was built in 1898 and is the last surviving railroad era building in Albuquerque! According to wikipedia The Southwestern Brewery was Albuquerque’s largest employer at the turn of the century!

2013-05-03 10:34Great grandfather Don Rankin started brewery with his Brother Harry. Greataunt Zella Rankin Learned remembers walking to brewery as a kid (ca early 1900’s) to sample the cold, delicious beer.
