I guess my little hummingbird friend got tired of flitting about and decided to take a breather. He is sitting on the frame of a portable canopy. In this shot you can actually see his tongue sticking out.
Hi, and thank you for the comment. No … my photos are not public domain and you do not have my permission to use them on your website. Thank you for asking.
Hi Helen, if you read my post today you find that I was in Albuquerque briefly. Actually I flew in and then drove to Red River for a family reunion. Sorry I did not make time to visit with you … you could have shown me all the great photo opportunities Albuquerque presents … however it was a short trip and I wanted to maximize time with my family … I’m sure there will be another Albuquerque trip in my future and I’ll schedule more time.

Helen, I love your nature photos. These of the hummingbird are great, and congrats on your patience and quick work, capturing the little guy or gal for our enjoyment. I laughed right out loud at the little alien cacti as well! I hope you’ll keep on giving us your humor and sense of perspective in this way. Your wide open landscapes are gorgeous, as well–that sunset photo, with your description of the two mountains, for instance. Thanks!
Hello HM
I love your photos, and I have a link to this photo blog on my blog about Albuquerque. I hope that is ok. I just won an unsolicited award for “Best Travel Blog in the America’s”, (14th out of 20), and I thought you should know since you are a part of it, so to speak.
