This is the Luna Mansion! Like I said in yesterday’s post it is purported to be haunted. Once I looked at all the photos I took … I agree. See Albuquerque Extra for a photo of the ghost… well one of them anyway! This web site has inside photos!
The Luna Mansion in located in Las Lunas, New Mexico which is about 20 south of Albuquerque on the I-25.

2006-11-05 05:42Maybe I’m the odd one…I get no feelings of eerieness from the photo at all. Interesting story. I’d love to meet a ghost. Haven’t ever heard a story of a ghost harming anyone, so it might be interesting.

2006-11-06 12:34Curly, it was even worse in person! Thanks for stopping by Albuquerque DP!
Marie and Kate, we are going to go for dinner soon. I will let you know how yummy the food is and if I run into any ghosts!
Valery, the color on this photo is actually way off. But I liked the way it looked … so I left it! If you look at the crooked tree post .. that is actually the color of the sky that day!
Hi David, I love NM as well. More is a lovely but I have not been up that way in about a year.
Keropokman, it is supposedly haunted and the feeling about it were very eerie! Like I said to Marie and Kate, I will let you know if I run into any ghosts when we go for dinner! And I agree it is a beautiful house!
Thanks you all for visiting Albuquerque DP!

2008-10-15 16:01I lived in Los Lunas for sixteen years and have eaten many meals at the Luna Mansion, and even attentded a wedding there. I also grew up with a girl who’s father was the manager of the Mansion at the time, and I can say for certain that I believe it is haunted, as do many people who have actually been to the Mansion. A mother of my friend’s told me a very creepy story about when she was working as a waitress at the Mansion. She went down into the wine cellar one night, to grab a new bottle of wine for a table she was serving. The door to the cellar slammed behind her, and she thought the staff were playing a prank on her. She grabbed the bottle and proceeded to the door, when another wine bottle was thrown at her from behind. There was no one else in the room with her. There are other stories of this particularly harmful apparition in the Mansion, but most are reported to be peaceful. Pepe is probably the best known, and her favorite spot in the Mansion is a rocking chair that sits at the top of the staircase. If you ever visit the Mansion, you’ll notice letters and pictures that have been dedicated to her by various passers by. The chair has even been known to rock without any occupant.

2009-07-24 08:50I worked as a bartender at the Luna Mansion. I had several odd experiences during that time. I worked at the upstairs bar, which was once the bedrooms. There is an attic/storage area where the liquor was kept. One night, I went in there to stock beer and got the weirdest sense that I was being watched. I opened the refrigerator to take out beer, and when I turned around to stack it on my cart, the door to the refrigerator shut. I shrugged it off and opened it again. When I turned around, it shut again. This happened several more times while I finished stocking the beer.
