I have never used this platform for personal reasons. That is not the goal of this photo blog. The goal is to show how beautiful and amazing Albuquerque is. However, this insanity needs to be screamed from a mountain top – so here goes ….

So, I may be going to jail because The City of Albuquerque has decided that my daughter’s car which is parked in my RV parking is abandoned. This is during a pandemic … a car parked in my RV parking – many feet back from the street is a crisis to The City of Albuquerque. This car is not dismantled with parts of it strewn about. It is all together just waiting for my daughter to come home. Don’t they have anything better to do than this?

Anyway, The City of Albuquerque has decided that the car was abandoned because, according to them, it has flat tires … which you can’t even see. The inspector, Christian Moore, who issued the Pre-Criminal Summons, which says it is “Final Notice” told me during a phone call that he noticed the tires were flat from driving by. Check out the photos – you cannot see that the tires are flat … you can’t even really see the tires. The summons also says it is the “Final Notice” …. when I told Christian Moore this … he was nasty and obnoxious and told me that HE is not responsible for the USPS (Given the current state of things with the USPS … is anyone?) and he also told me TOO BAD … fix it.

So, I wrote to the mayor … who answered me after a few days. He passed it off to the Planning Dept. I received a call from Nathan Vigil and he basically told me the same thing. “FIX IT” … but he was not obnoxious and offered to extend the deadline if I couldn’t get it taken care of by the 17th.

Fact is this should not even be an issue. It’s parked on my property … not dismantled and not an eyesore. It’s just a car sitting there.
