There was a Chinese New Year celebration at the Talin Market here in Albuquerque today. They had a Lion Dance performance and the MC explained that the lion symbolizes power, wisdom and superiority in the Chinese culture. He also said that the lion dance performance is to bring good fortune and chase evil spirits away.
