I had a seriously crappy day and when I got home I went into the backyard to chill. Well that lasted about 10 minutes because this hummingbird showed up. I ran for the camera praying he would still be there when I got back … not only was he still there but he flittered about for oven an hour. Just a FYI … Trying to catch a hummingbird with a camera is sort of like trying to find the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow.
In this photo I caught him/her coming in for a landing on the white thing you see in the foreground. It is actually a collapsible canopy we use over the pool to block the sun. I love that you can actually see his wings fluttering in this photo.
