Good MORNING – tap tap tap tap – Woodpecker here … So glad this tree used to be on the other side of the house from my bedroom as pecking in the early AM was his favorite!  I believe this to be a male Ladder-backed Woodpecker. The tree had to be removed as it had died – not sure where Mr. Woodpecker lives now.

Not sure how I got the double exposure but I like it.
