This arrow stands about 20 feet high and has been on the corner of Carlisle and Indian School since before 1990 when I moved to ABQ.

According to Dave Saunders, a lifelong Albuquerque resident, Lil’ Beaver, from the Red Ryder TV show in the early 50’s, shot the giant arrow with a giant bow into an awaiting patch of soft concrete. Red Ryder and Lil’ Beaver performed for Indian Plaza’s ribbon-cutting ceremony in 1961.
