This is a prickly pear cactus. The fruits these produce are actually edible and from what I understand from others … very tasty. Â I am not very adventourous as far as food is concerned, therefore I have never been brave enough to try them so I can not speak for their flavor. Â I also know that they are considered to have many other uses.
