Baby Boopie was born at the Rio Grande Zoo on August 17, 2006 and weighed in at 45 – 50 pounds. She is a female and I was honored that she came out of the water for me to take a photo. I was dissappointed, though, that all I coud see was her butt.

2006-10-22 06:42Oh, well, be happy that you got to take her photo. Animals are not always very cooperative. I do admire the rich color of her hide. Cute baby!
