Have you ever had the misfortune of flying into the Albuquerque Sunport? Don’t get me wrong, the Sunport itself is beautiful. However, the process of picking up passengers or luggage is an absolute nightmare. Understandably, they don’t want you to sit curbside and wait, but once you’ve found your person, they won’t even let you stop for a moment to allow them to get their luggage into the vehicle or get themselves in. It’s incredibly frustrating and time-consuming.

Last time I picked someone up, it was around 8 pm. She literally had to jog alongside the truck, throw her bag in, and then jump in herself while the truck was still moving because they wouldn’t let me stop to “load” her. Even after she was safely in the truck, we had to sit for a whopping 15 minutes while they incompetently directed traffic. It was an absolute slog. Next time, I’ll ask them to walk across the street to the parking structure and pick them up there. It might cost a few bucks, but it’ll be better than the mess at the terminal.
