Beautiful photo. The blue in the sky is outstanding. I assumed the lights were houses in the hills. However, since you did not see the lights until you viewed the photo they must be something else. If you used a flash then they may be reflection from animal eyes.
Hi Denton, thanks for the compliments. When you look at the photo larger some of the light are moving up. At least that is what it appears as there is a trail that looks like it’s pointing up!

Great photo. Leaves one with a romantic feeling. We have those lights in Phoenix from time to time. There is still no explination for them outside of Air Force balloons. What type of camera do you use?
