The Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta is here this week. Every year during the fiesta there is the America’s Challenge Gas Balloon Race. They actually supposed to take off Saturday, October 6th but didn’t actually get to take off until Monday, October 8th due to wind and weather conditions! This is a shot of the gas balloons filling up and getting ready for take off!
Here is a link to the balloon tracking. Seven balloons are still flying!

2007-10-10 10:18The balloon tracking is really interesting. Those balloons which made it to Kansas may be caught by the strong southwesterly wind and cross several more states rather quickly.

2007-10-10 12:11I love this photo. We went to a balloon stamped in Salt Lake last month and we had such a blast. It was so interesting watching them set everything up and amazing to watch all the balloons in the sky. We had never been that close before, but now we are planning to go on a hot air balloon for a date next summer!
This is a fabulous photo.

Denton, I found it pretty interesting also. Glad you did too! I can’t believe they made it all the way to Canada. Amazing.
Annie, thank you. I would love to go on a balloon ride. It’s really expensive during Balloon Fiesta!
Thank’s Curly!
Mike, thank you!
