Every year for my birthday, which is today, we put up our Christmas Tree. Since this years tree is not up yet, here is a photo of the 2005 Birthday Tree. My daughter, Jaye, picks out the prettiest trees and then does a great job of decorating them.
Looking down the entrance to the Poco A Poco patio in Old Town was so inviting and Christmassy but I didn’t have the time to wander and play. I have never actually...
Double whammy: birthday and Christmas! Do you get gifts wrapped in Christmas paper.? Twin siblings have theirs on the 17th, and I’ve learned over the years to be extra careful with their gifts so they don’t feel slighted. Beautiful tree, and, oh yea, happy birthday!!!
Happy Birthday! I always feel so bad for the December/January babies as ya’ll get gypped in the presents department. My partner’s birthday is 12/24 and it’s so hard to separate the celebration from Christmas especially since we have little ones. This year, our first in NM, I will do something to celebrate early so it can be special… and separate.
I hope yours was special, as well.
(At least you always know there will be sparklies on your birthday!!)
Be well.

Great tree, and I thought the elephant photo of a couple of posts back was just great. You manage to capture that moment really well, the piece of hay in the mouth. Just like the lioness licking her paw.
Happy Birthday to you and what a lovely way to work it into the Christmas season…
Happy birthday Helen — mine’s today (21st) so have the same problem of never really getting much birthday special feeling being so near Christmas. We learn to accept it over the years.
