Sunset without clouds to enhance it is unremarkable. There is really not much to see but a ball of fire going down and dropping below the horizon. Add some clouds and it is always a magnificent work of art.
When my daughter was a little girl, we lived in California and we used to go hang out on the Pacific Coast Highway to watch the sun set. It was something, I think, we both enjoyed. We knew it was time to leave and go home when we heard the “Sizzle” of the sun hitting the water. I miss watching the sunset over the ocean.
I looked back through all of my posts in 2016 and this is the photo that jumped out at me.
Happy New Year

I was looking thought my 2015 photos and found this sunset that I took back when summer was ending. I not sure why but I never shared it here on Albuquerque Daily Photo.
This was the scene opposite and to the west of yesterday’s Cloud Blanket. Cloudy skies make the most beautiful sunsets, which are one of my favorite things to take photograph.
I took the top photo at 16:50 and I took the bottom photo at 16:57. If you blink you miss it.
Last night’s sky looking west towards the sunset.
The sun was in a and out for most of the day. When it started to set a bunch of storm clouds blew in and started a ruckus. This was the result.
Last night’s sunset was AWESOME! The more clouds there are the better the sunset!!
