Just as the sun started setting and right before the mountain turned pink.
I went out to run a few errands today and the clouds blanketing the mountains were beautiful. Stormy and beautiful. By the time I got home the mountains were completely enveloped in the clouds. You couldn’t see the mountains at all.
These were growing in the foothills of the Sandia Mountains. I don’t actually know what they are but they looked like baseball sized watermelons to me.
Yesterday’s sky and the storm did not live up to what these clouds seemed to be predicting.
It was a spectacular storm that was brewing here. It rained, hailed and the wind blew like it had somewhere to go in a big fat hurry.
A storm cloud brewing over the mountains. It been amazingly wet and stormy here in Albuquerque this summer.
The sun was in a and out for most of the day. When it started to set a bunch of storm clouds blew in and started a ruckus. This was the result.

The clouds here in Albuquerque never disappoint. It was beautifully stormy yesterday at the Farmer’s Market.
