I’ve never been but P’tit Louis Bistro and as a matter of fact I didn’t even know it existed. But, it looks like a place I’d like to try. It’s in a part of town I don’t get to very often but that has grown some in recent years. May be time to start exploring down there again.
I found this lil treasure on a wall in the Nob Hill area when I was going to Michael Thomas Coffee Roasters. I love Winnie the Pooh and friends … this made my smile!
My daughter had told me about Michael Thomas Coffee some months back but I never got around to trying them till today. They roast and blend their own coffees and the one I had today was delicious. It was a dark roast and it was smooth. Being a coffee lover I will be going back.
The service was excellent, the staff was friendly and knowledgeable, and the atmosphere was eclectic, laid-back and comfortable. Their outdoor patio was warm and inviting. Inside there were plenty of places to plug in whatever device you might be needing to plug in. A great place to just chill and enjoy your coffee.
A blast from the past …. I had so much fun looking at all this stuff at Chocolate Dude. They had an H.R. Pufnstuf lunch box and a stuffy of the H.R. Pufnstuf character. I have not thought about that show in a L – O – N – G, long time. I think my favorite on this shelf is the purple haired troll but then again the lava lamp is pretty awesome too. Oh … who am I kidding … I loved it all.
The guy with the wooden stick was making caramel and the other two folks were dipping chocolate. The aroma of the chocolate and coffee made Chocolate Dude the best smelling place in Nob Hill.
I have driven by Chocolate Dude I don’t know how many times and each time I say, “I need to stop there and see what they are all about!” Tonight I did. The inside of the place is really neat as you will see in the coming days. I tried an Americano and was not all that all that impressed. It was a weak cup of coffee. I didn’t try the chocolate but it looks amazing and the people who worked there are quite welcoming. Maybe next time I will try some chocolate.
We shared an appetizer order of Sweet Potato Fries at O’Niell’s in Nob Hill on New Years Eve. The light colored dipping sauce is a cajun remoulade, which is deliciously spicy, and the dark sauce is an apple-cranberry, which is sweet and tart all at the same time. And the fries are so delicious you don’t really need either.
