These young fellows were having a blast running up and down this hiking trail in the Sandia Mountains. At one point they went up so high I lost sight of them.
Makes me wish I was a kid again!
This one is on the opposite side of Albuquerque, to the east, in the foothills of the Sandia Mountains at Elena Gallegos Open Space.
The dedication on the bench reads:
Berton L. Veinot
He loved nature and this place. Rest awhile
and listen. His spirit is in the wind, birdsong
and foothills on the trail.

Hiking on a trail in the foothills of the Sandia Mountains. These two folks were quite knowledgeable about the birds and critters in the area.
