Sunset without clouds to enhance it is unremarkable. There is really not much to see but a ball of fire going down and dropping below the horizon. Add some clouds and it is always a magnificent work of art.
When my daughter was a little girl, we lived in California and we used to go hang out on the Pacific Coast Highway to watch the sun set. It was something, I think, we both enjoyed. We knew it was time to leave and go home when we heard the “Sizzle” of the sun hitting the water. I miss watching the sunset over the ocean.
I looked back through all of my posts in 2016 and this is the photo that jumped out at me.

When it’s cold here in Albuquerque you can see these steam plumes for miles. They seem to decorate the horizon at times.
I was looking thought my 2015 photos and found this sunset that I took back when summer was ending. I not sure why but I never shared it here on Albuquerque Daily Photo.
This was the scene opposite and to the west of yesterday’s Cloud Blanket. Cloudy skies make the most beautiful sunsets, which are one of my favorite things to take photograph.
I like a car with a cool mohawk. I’ve never tried the beer but using a car with a cool mohawk as advertisement peaks my interest.
I actually took this a week or two ago but forgot about it. The storm was spectacular as was the lightening which I missed in this photo.
Yesterday’s sky and the storm did not live up to what these clouds seemed to be predicting.
Last night’s sky looking west towards the sunset.
