Road to Albuquerque

I took this photo while we were driving back into Albuquerque from a day up in the Jemez Mountains. And no I was not driving … I was taking the photo. The sun was setting and I thought the mountains looked beautiful! That is the Sandia’s!

A photo just like this is what I hope to see every time I visit ADP. Your landscapes, sunsets, and mountains are outstanding. The page came up and I said OH (literally I said oh). Then I struggled for words to complement you.

Wooow…. I love this photo, it’s amazing… what a beautiful light over the mountain… You know Sandía in spanish is a fruit (I think you named it watermelon)
    Great captured, congratulations!

Thank you, Celine! I think this is my favorite way to drive into Albuquerque!

Thank you, Dsole! Yes. Sandia means watermelon. If you look at my posts from October 20, 2006 and January 11, 2007 you can see why they are named the Sandia Mountains! They look like a watermelon at sunset!

Thank you all for visiting Albuquerque DP!
