Growing Wild

Growing Wild

I found these pretty red and yellow flowers growing wild along NM 14 on my way up to Santa Fe. There were ALOT of them, they are tiny but yet very pretty. I loved the colors!

  1. Some of the seeds from flowers like this came in my wildflower seeds this year. I don’t usually plant seeds of anything as I have only perennials and they come up on their own but I wanted to attract more hummingbirds and butterflies so I got the seed. And it worked. I even have some of your flowers.

I believe these are known as blanket flower (Gaillardia aristata). They reseed if left alone and they do like it hot and dry.

Thanks for leaving me a comment!!
