Some of the seeds from flowers like this came in my wildflower seeds this year. I don’t usually plant seeds of anything as I have only perennials and they come up on their own but I wanted to attract more hummingbirds and butterflies so I got the seed. And it worked. I even have some of your flowers.

2007-07-20 07:54These are called Gaillardia – Blanket Flower. I have some growing in my garden, very pretty.

2007-07-20 14:35I believe these are known as blanket flower (Gaillardia aristata). They reseed if left alone and they do like it hot and dry.
