There was a beautiful inter-faith and inter-cultural vigil held tonight for our brothers and sisters in Orlando. This vigil was held at Morningside Park. There are really no words to express the devastation felt by the LGBTQ community today.
My favorite smell in the whole world is rain – especially on a hot day. I LOVE the smell of rain!
Just as the sun started setting and right before the mountain turned pink.
I went out to run a few errands today and the clouds blanketing the mountains were beautiful. Stormy and beautiful. By the time I got home the mountains were completely enveloped in the clouds. You couldn’t see the mountains at all.
It was sunset … It was raining and that huge cloud look like it was trying to eat the mountain.
These two crows were having a grand time doing whatever it is that crows do!
It was a spectacular storm that was brewing here. It rained, hailed and the wind blew like it had somewhere to go in a big fat hurry.
A storm cloud brewing over the mountains. It been amazingly wet and stormy here in Albuquerque this summer.
These young fellows were having a blast running up and down this hiking trail in the Sandia Mountains. At one point they went up so high I lost sight of them.
Makes me wish I was a kid again!
This one is on the opposite side of Albuquerque, to the east, in the foothills of the Sandia Mountains at Elena Gallegos Open Space.
The dedication on the bench reads:
Berton L. Veinot
He loved nature and this place. Rest awhile
and listen. His spirit is in the wind, birdsong
and foothills on the trail.
“…the wind is still in the trees?”
