Dan’s also sells feed and and pet supplies. Back in the day when I raised cavies (guinea pigs) I used to frequent Dan’s for Timothy Hay and other such things that the cavies needed, liked etc.
I have not been in Dan’s for quite a few years now but I used to love to go in and just look at EVERYTHING while they were getting my order together. I like horses but never really had the opportunity to ride or take care of a horse. I remember looking at the saddles at Dan’s and they were beautiful.
That horse has been standing atop the sign at Dan’s Boots and Saddles since I moved to Albuquerque. When I first moved here back in 1990 I used to use it as a landmark so I could find my way home.
A hummingbird stopping for lunch at a road side eatery. I love hummingbirds and miss them when they fly off for winter.
These two crows were having a grand time doing whatever it is that crows do!
He was a very busy bee in a very busy bush. I went to my daughter’s house today and this bush was bustling with bees, wasps, and hornets. There had to be a hundred on them feasting.
I am not at all a fan of flying, stinging creatures so I shot this from F – A – R away at 300mm.
It doesn’t work. There are two other owl statues up there as well and the pigeons sit on them.
As I was taking photos of this turtle, a red eared slider, he suddenly got camera shy and slid into the water. He was the only turtle I saw at Tingley Beach.
When I was at Tingley Beach the other day these three adult geese where herding these four goslings around. It was fun to watch how protective they were of the babies.
The one with the babies was paying attention to the babies and the other two were acting as the lookout.
Really, could they be any cuter? Spotted at Tingley Beach; They sat there very patiently as their people fished. There is no way that my dogs would have ever been that well behaved.
