It’s time for Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta again. This year it is running from October 3rd to October 12th.
This morning I was having breakfast and all of a sudden a huge shadow came over and I heard the whooosh of the balloon burner. It was literally right over my house. So I grabbed my camera and ran outside and there were about 30 or so balloons right over head and more coming. They were landing about 2 block away in a huge field. It was AWESOME.

2008-10-07 01:22Helen, I’ve always admired the photos that have come from this event, but after recently taking my first balloon ride in Turkey this year, I’m even more amazed. Loved seeing this on the CDP portal, which really caught my eye!
