Sandia Mountains

Sandia means watermelon on Spanish and here you can see why these mountains were named the Sandia Mountains. As the sun is setting the mountains look like a slice of watermelon.

Sorry I have not been posting for the last few days. The crazy weather finally got me and I was not feeling well. Hope everybody else is doing ok.

The Sania’s were named as such due to the watermelon like goards that grow on and around the mountains NOT because they look like slices of watermelons…
