The Wigwam Motel

This is a photo of the Wigwam Motel in Holbrooke, Arizona. If anyone saw the movie “Cars” I am pretty sure that the Cozy Cone Motel is based on the Wigwam Motel.  I have never stayed in this motel but would like to next time I go to The Petrified Forest.

I think you’re right about the movie Cars. But those cars in your photo look kinda old! Have you ever stayed in this motel?

Wigwams? Tippis? I saw them both today. Wow. Native American Day. I never saw a motel made like this before and it must have been an interesting visit. I surely would like a tour of that place. Nice.

My Theme Day portrait is of the “Peashooter” and the National Museum of the United States Air Force. Hope you like flying.

I think Oprah stayed there on her cross-country trip ;-) Why are there vintage cars in the parking lot?

This is so funny, I remember the movie “Cars” and it does look exactly the same. Wonderful shot, a unique one.

That’s definitely a pretty unusual accommodation establishment! Thanks for showing it to us.

Great shot! I love kitsch, so I’d love to stay here! Having grown up with Indians in Oklahoma and Texas, this kind of teepee is too funny to me! Happy Theme Day from Maui, Hawaii!

I stayed here as a kid with my grandparents and it was fun. I love the petrified forest and the painted desert too!
