Cruising San Mateo II

I think this piece is interesting but have no idea what the message is.

It’s supposed to be a 1950s-era kitchen counter. It was installed at the same time as the ’57 Chevy at San Mateo & Gibson and a BarcaLounger located in another pocket park along San Mateo that I believe has since been removed. At the time the sculptor said the idea behind the whole series had something to do with ’50s domesticity, suburban expansion, etc.
