This is the window of one of the towers … I guess like a guard tower … when you enter the grounds of Casa Rodeņa Winery.

This is the Casa Rodeņa Winery. It is located in the Albuquerque’s North Valley and has won quite a few awards for it’s wine. I did not go inside as I am not a wine drinker but the grounds and the buildings were beautiful.
I Love Clouds!!

Well, I do … I love to watch them fluff up … and change shapes … and roll in over the mountain. I love to find “things” in the clouds as they change shapes. I could waste a whole afternoon just watching the clouds do what clouds do!!

Am I An Exotic?

This is a sign at the Vets office that we frequent. Every time I see it I wonder two things? One, do the felines, birds and exotics drive themselves to the vet or are the people who bring in the feline’s, birds, and exotics are allowed to park here and two, what category the people fit into. My guess is exotics.

Always crowded and always smells like coffee. No, the sky is not blown out … it was actually that color.

Watching Mama

This handsome fellow was in a car parked next to me in a parking lot recently. He was busy watching his mama walk away from the car here. He cried a bit for the 2 very long minutes she was gone and was very happy to see her when she emerged from the store. I love the intensity in his eyes.
It’s a BOY

When they were cutting some branches off my tree this afternoon this poor little guy either got knocked out of his nest or fell out of his nest. From the tip of his beak to the tip of his tail he was less than 2 inches long and can’t fly yet. I put him in a box under the tree hoping Mama Bird would come for him but she didn’t appear to be anywhere around.
Anyways, to make a long story short I found a lady who rehabilitates baby hummingbirds and brought him to her. She said he is going to be fine … he will probably be released back into the wild in a few weeks when he learns how to fly.
Copper Dragonfly

Howdy Folks!! I’m sorry for the unannounced extended hiatus of Albuquerque Daily Photo. It’s a very long story that would just bore you to tears (and I wouldn’t want to do that) but I am back and looking forward to posting. It rained here for most of last night and it was awesome. It was cool and comfortable for sleeping … finally!!
Anyway, about the photo … this was the prettiest insect I have ever seen … if an insect can be pretty. It’s wings were amazing … the way they shimmered in the sun was awesome. And the bronze coppery color was gorgeous.
