Coaster in Motion

This is The New Mexico Rattler which is located at Cliff’s Amusement Park here in Albuquerque. I have never been on it but it has been voted one of the Top 25 Wooden Coasters in the world.  I posted a non-motion shot of this coaster on a grey rainy day back on June 27th.

Off Center Community Arts Studio

Taken directly off there web site …

OFFCenter is a community art space located in the heart of Albuquerque. The center is home to a studio, a gallery and a sales shop. Anyone in the community is welcome to come to OFFCenter to make and buy art. Artists of low income are especially encouraged to make art in the studio, sell their work in the sales shop and submit their work for display in the gallery. Individuals, families and groups participate in a wide variety of both casual open studios and organized activities.

I tried to describe this place in my own words but nothing I said really did it justice. Click here to visit their page and make sure to check out the “About OAC” link in the menu.

The Dog House

This place has been a constant in Downtown Albuquerque since the 1960’s. I have never eaten here but there is always a line so it is on my list of places to try.

The neon sign is animated (it’s so kewl) … the dogs tail wags … and I have been trying to get a photo of it but the last few times I have been down there at night the sign has been off. I will keep trying.

Hollywood Like Reflection

This is a relfection of Sandia Mountain in a Kinko’s store window. I thought the”Make It, Print It, Pack It, Ship It” reflection looked like the Hollywood sign.

One Up Elevated Lounge

This looks like a happening place for folks who are way cooler than I ever was or ever will be. The One Up Elevated Lounge. I love the building … it should be an art gallery.

1898 Territorial Fair

Central Avenue in Albuquerque in 1898. It used to be called Railroad Avenue. Learn something new everyday!!

Hey Everybody,

The company that I use to host Albuquerque Daily Photo did some maintenance last week and ever since ADP has been up and down like a yo-yo. Actually it has spent more time down than up. I have talked company everyday and everyday they assure me it’s fixed. I apologize for the lack of posts and I will continue to bug the company till they get it right.

Thanks for understanding!
Helen

Griff's Hamburgers

No fancy schmancy burgers here… Just big tasty American burgers worth the money you pay for them.
