Sunport Pottery

The airport here in Albuquerque is called the Albuquerque International Sunport. The path into the sunport is lined with quite a few of these beautiful pieces of pottery and the sunport itself is home to a 113 piece permanent art collection. Click here for more info on the art collection. It is a really beautiful airport as airports go.
Inch Worm

This little guy … and I do mean little was working his lil inch worm butt off to get to the top of my television. He did eventually make it the top only to be blown off by the ceiling fan. I felt sorry bad for him doing all that work and getting nothing for it so I picked him up and put him outside. In real life this lil guy was less than a half inch long! Amazing!!

I don’t think that is the actual name of this beautiful plant but it is what people here in Albuquerque call it. It has beautiful yellow flowers and smells like grape!
Picnic Anyone

I found this picnic area right up near the Dragon House in the Sandia Mountains. It would be a great place to go on a HOT summer day as it is far enough up the mountain that it’s still cool. Also, there is plenty of shade. Sorry for posting this so late today!
Water Diversion

This water diversion channel is up at the foothills of the Sandia Mountains. It’s goal, I believe is to break up rushing water so that flooding is better controlled.

I have been experimenting with night time/low light photography and with my shutter priority and aperture priority. This lantern in my backyard is one of my experiments. Yes, I used a tripod and a shutter delay of 2 seconds!

I took this photo last night in my back yard. The sun has already set but it was not dark yet and the sky was the prettiest colors of pink and purple.
Sandpainting Demons

I guess this is where the demons come to do their sandpainting! Read the sign if you think
I am kidding!
On a more serious note I think maybe someone just might have forgotten the “R” and the word was supposed to be demonstration!
Monster in the Wall

As the sun was setting on Shiprock the holes in the rock wall started to glow. This grouping here sort of looked like a monster to me!
