Although this mulberry bud appears innocuous it will be the scourge of my life till June. I didn’t know when I bought this house with a giant mulberry tree in the front yard that I was seriously allergic to them. It tries to kill me every year.

A Grazin’ Kinda Day

Unfortunately when I saw these horses I only had my 50mm lens with me and they were pretty far away. I watched them for awhile and they just seemed to be so content just grazin’ around their yard. It was a beautiful but crisp spring day.

Off the main streets of Old Town there are “hidden” or not so visible alleys that lead to patios, courtyards or other hidden treasures that are fun to find. Like the one in the photo … if you are not looking for it you are not likely to find it!

This “window” is part of a wall that surrounds The San Felipe de Neri School which was built in 1881. The parish has been around since 1706 and the school since 1770. Click here to read the history!

Native American Vendors

Down in Old Town Native American vendors set up under the overhang of La Placita, which is a restaurant that serves American and New Mexican foods, and sell handmade quality jewelry. They are there pretty much everyday that there will be foot traffic around Old Town. Actually, I have never been down there that they were not there. While they are sitting there some of them continue to make there jewelry and I enjoy watching them.
