The weather here in Albuquerque and all of New Mexico has turned WINTER. We are stuck in Albuquerque because the roads in and out are closed due to weather related hazards and there is an arctic blast on the way. The high for tomorrow is going to be about 30° F and the low tonight about 15° F.
Luminaria Display

There are not very many private luminaria displays up yet but I thought I would post what was available. As it gets closer to the Christmas Holiday and more people setup their displays I will be on the lookout and post them!
This is the Marriott Hotel and their display is beautiful!

No horse balloons … how about a cow! I cannot remember this balloon’s name and I could not find it by searching. It is one of the most popular balloons at the Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta!

Well, not really but I think it looks like one. It’s actually a mama and baby! I am not 100% sure but think the baby is in front of the mama! I took this the last time I was at the Rio Grande Zoo which was a few weeks ago!

This lioness was very happily cleaning herself till she got to her paw. She must have stepped in something NASTY and forgot. Poor baby!!
View From a Hill Top

I was driving along NM Rt 4 up in the Jemez Mountains and this was the view as I came to the top of a hill. The hill was not very big and I have gone over this hill many many times. Maybe it looked so different because the sun was setting .
